Terms of use

Last updated: 21-Sep-26

These Terms govern your access to and use of simpleterms.help and the document templates, guides, and related materials that Simple Terms Pty Ltd ABN 13 684 417 025 (we) make available through it (Content). By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms.

We provide plain-language templates

We provide plain-language templates and educational guides for general information purposes. You can also adapt them to your specific circumstances.

Simple Terms is not legal advice

Your use of the site or Content does not create a lawyer-client relationship. You should read what you download. You might need to get independent legal advice before relying on any template for a specific transaction. If you don’t understand something, ask a qualified person who does.

Access requires a paid subscription

You may cancel your subscription and your access will continue for the balance of the 12 months. However, there are no refunds once you have accessed the site and viewed any Content.

Your licence to use the templates

Your licence to use the templates requires an active subscription. You have a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to adapt and use the templates for your business purposes. Your licence does not mean you can resell, redistribute, or sublicense the templates themselves as a standalone product.  You must not re-publish the template documents on any website or platform for any purpose.

Just download what you need when you need it

The documents are regularly updated.  If you download everything in one go, you risk using old templates.  It is better to just log in and get what you need when you need it.  Then you can be sure you are using the most up-to-date version.

No warranties

We give no warranties, and we provide the Content “as is”. Although we take care preparing our templates, we cannot warrant that any given template suits your needs or the law of your jurisdiction. Because we know nothing about your particular circumstances, we cannot assess what is suitable for you.

Our liability to you is limited

Our total liability to you for all direct, indirect and special losses is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. We exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on the Content, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. You use of any Content at your own risk.

We may change these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. If you continue to use the site after we post changes, you accept the updated Terms.
